Normal birth is the most natural way to give birth. Many women are afraid of pain, but nowadays it is possible to have a normal birth without pain through anesthesia and other non-pharmacological methods such as immersion bath, walking, massage, acupuncture and others.

The advantages of vaginal delivery for the mother include:


  • Lower risk of infection; 
  • Faster recovery: 
  • Favors the production of breast milk; 
  • Close the sentimental ties with the baby; 
  • It is more economical; 
  • Shorter hospital stay; 
  • Better recovery in the postpartum period; 
  • Uterus back to its normal size more quickly; 
  • Every normal delivery time of labor is shorter. 


Advantages of natural birth for baby 

The advantages of natural birth to the baby include:

1. Decreased respiratory distress as when passing through the birth canal, his chest is compressed and this causes the fluid inside the lungs are expelled more easily;
2. The baby also benefits from hormonal changes that occur in the body of the mother during labor, causing it to be more active and responsive at birth;
3. During passage through the birth canal the baby's body is massaged, making him wake up to the touch and do not be surprised either to be manipulated at birth;
4. Birth can be immediately placed on the mother, which calms the mother and child;
5. After cleaning and gown can stay all the time with their mother, if both are healthy, it does not need to be watching.

Natural childbirth hurt?

Also it is very important that women do prenatal care for her and the doctor know if there is anything that prevents normal delivery, such as an infection or changes in the baby. If it's okay, there are no contraindications to vaginal delivery, just let nature act.
